01Good to know

North Scottsdale

The northern part of the city, including DC Ranch, Grayhawk, Troon and Troon North. Much of the housing dates from the 1990s and 2000s, so projects here often work inside the existing footprint: a larger or better shower, a tub swapped for a walk-in, new tile, vanities and lighting. Water north of Chaparral Road runs hard, which puts scale on glass and fixtures. Read bathroom remodeling in North Scottsdale.

02Good to know

Old Town Scottsdale

The historic heart of the city, with mid-century ranch homes, condos and historic districts a short walk from the galleries and restaurants. Bathrooms here are often small, so small-space layouts and conversions are a common fit, and condo work adds shared-wall and shutoff coordination. Exterior details can come with historic review. 03Good to know

McCormick Ranch

A master-planned community built mostly in the 1970s and 1980s around its lakes and greenbelt. Many McCormick Ranch bathrooms are 1970s or 1980s originals with era finishes and a tub-shower combination in the main bath. Many projects here replace that era rather than expand it, and HOA review applies to changes visible from outside. Read bathroom remodeling in McCormick Ranch.

04Good to know

Paradise Valley

Most of the town is zoned for lots of at least 1 acre, with hillside and estate properties and a median build year of 1985 (American Community Survey, 2024). Larger houses here can have 3 or more bathrooms, so a remodel can start with the primary suite while guest baths wait their turn. Houses this age are also where supply lines and hidden leaks can become an issue, and a bathroom project is a natural time to check. Read bathroom remodeling in Paradise Valley.

05Good to know

Fountain Hills

A master-planned town started in 1970, with most homes built in the 1980s and 1990s (median build year 1994, American Community Survey, 2024). Bathrooms from that era often keep their original fixtures and builder lighting, and the median resident age is 61.5, so step-in showers and seating can matter more here. View and hillside lots change how light moves through a bathroom, so lighting plans matter. Interiors can be straightforward; window and exterior changes can need HOA approval. Read bathroom remodeling in Fountain Hills.

06Good to know

Cave Creek

Rural, spread out, and proud of it. Newer custom homes on acreage tend to get upgrades, finished spa-style showers and better lighting; older ranch-era houses get compact bathrooms where storage and fixtures are the main asks. Sewer service does not reach every property, and some homes use wells and septic systems, which matters before any plan moves plumbing. Read bathroom remodeling in Cave Creek.

07Good to know

Carefree

A small town with big personality: homes from the 1960s onward (median build year 1988, American Community Survey, 2024), custom houses on the slopes, and condos where shared walls and HOA coordination shape the work. The median resident age is 64.9, so step-in showers, grab bars and seating can matter more here. Read bathroom remodeling in Carefree.

08Service area

Why these areas?

They are the communities in and around Scottsdale in the northeast Valley, and they share the same remodeling reality: a hot, dry climate that is hard on finishes, hard water that is hard on glass and fixtures, and homes from many decades since the 1950s. The local details change the plan, which is why each area has its own page rather than one generic list.
